A common leaf-miner on sallows across a variety of habitats. Currently thought to be part of a complex of up to four species, awaiting further research. For now it should continue to be recorded as salicis, but for leaf mines please note the position of the egg (upper or lower surface) and if possible the variety of sallow (broad-leaved or narrow-leaved).

Verification Grade Comment: Egg position required (upper or lower surface of the leaf) and if present, larval colouring.

Mine: Either the leaf or a good photograph required
