Rare in the region. Since 2010, the downland race palustrella has been recorded very locally from west Berkshire and mid-Berkshire. The only known confirmed colony conforming to the later-flying damp grassland race decreta is in a scrubby field on clay in Buckinghamshire. Older records especially if referring to decreta may be due to confusion with Narrow-bordered Five-spot Burnet and cannot be confirmed.
