A Berkshire record from Tubney Wood in 1924 was one of the last in Britain until its rediscovery in Warwickshire during 2021. Thanks to some amazing detective work by Martin Townsend, and the use of a pheromone lure, it was rediscovered at Tubney after a gap of 99 years, in 2023. Several more records have resulted from the use of lures in 2024 around Reading, Berkshire.

Formerly found widely but locally, mainly in southeast England.
